This animation shows the charge and discharge of a capacitor. You can see how the time taken depends on the resistance & capacitance of the circuit.

• Use the sliders to change the values of battery voltage, resistance or capacitance.
• Discharge the capacitor by using the appropriate push button.
• Pause the charge / discharge by disconnecting the capacitor. Voltage & data are recorded.
• Voltage / time data can be selected & copied into a spreadsheet for analysis.
